Two concrete building additions with vertical board-formed concrete.
Winner of 2020 Architectural Merit Ontario Concrete Awards
Replaced floor with Mass Timber (NLT) and Glulam beams/columns.
The existing barn foundation was maintained with repointing and parging. We added a perimeter concrete bond beam, with new floors.
Inside the main barn, we used nailed laminated timber planks supported by glued-laminated wood beams and columns.
The addition consists of sandwich board-formed concrete walls with light wood floor and roof construction.
